You could benefit from our relationships with Customs agencies and certifications in cross-border security programs.

  • Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) is a joint government-business initiative between U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the trade industry to strengthen the international supply chain. As a CTPAT carrier, FedEx Freight Canada is recognized by CBP as a low-risk carrier, leading to faster customs processing and reduced inspections.
  • Partners in Protection (PIP) is also a government-business initiative managed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). As a certified PIP carrier, FedEx Freight Canada has partnered with the CBSA to increase the security of the supply chain and, as a result, receives border facilitation benefits such as streamlined border clearance, reduced risk scoring, and fewer inspections.
  • Free and Secure Trade (FAST) is a joint program between the CBP and CBSA designed to work closely with the trade community to enhance border security. FAST cards are issued to drivers who successfully undergo thorough screening and background checks by both customs agencies. Once FAST-certified, drivers are recognized by customs as low-risk. All drivers for FedEx Freight Canada who cross the border must be FAST-certified and maintain eligibility requirements at all times.

By maintaining CTPAT and PIP high security standards while using only FAST-certified drivers, FedEx Freight Canada offers cross-border customers peace of mind. You'll benefit from a faster customs clearance process, and your freight will remain secure at all times with reliable freight security.
