Rate and quote information

  • Surface Expedite Services: Ground expedited freight-shipping solutions including exclusive-use vehicles and urgent delivery solutions.
  • White Glove Services: For shipments requiring extra care in handling, temperature control and specially equipped vehicles.
  • Zip code: A valid zip/postal code for pickup and delivery locations in the contiguous United States or Canada.
  • Transit miles: Total driving miles from pickup to delivery locations.
  • Service: Specifies Surface Expedite Services or White Glove Services.
  • Truck type: Specifies the vehicle option used for the quote.
  • Transit time: Estimated time from pickup to delivery. This does not include the time to get to the initial pickup of the freight. Driving times are based on a maximum speed of 50 mph, considering various road types and posted speeds.
  • Linehaul charge: Calculated using the truck type and the driving distance from the pickup zip/postal code to the delivery zip/postal code. Driving distance is calculated on practical miles (the shortest time to route) or as specified in account agreements.
  • Fuel surcharge: Applies to all mileage-based charges only.
  • General service tax: Canadian tax for intra-Canadian shipments.
  • Additional charge: Charges associated with accessorials selected to customize the shipment requirements.
  • Total charge: Total of charges in the linehaul/fuel and accessorial columns.
  • Save: The rate option will be saved with a PRO number in the "Saved Quotes" tab for future order conversion, and an email will be sent to the address associated with the login.
  • Book: The quote will move through the "Create an Order" process to book the shipment.

Accessorial and additional shipping requirements

To customize your shipment, you have the ability to select the service accessorials and additional requirements for your shipping needs. More terms and conditions and rules information can be found here.

  • Surface Expedite Services: Ground expedited freight-shipping solutions including exclusive-use vehicles and urgent delivery solutions.
  • White Glove Services: For shipments requiring extra care in handling, temperature control and specially equipped vehicles.
  • Lift gate: Power lift gates are available if a dock is not available.
  • Dock high: Vehicles are equipped to unload freight directly from the dock.
  • Pallet jack: For use with pallets, allowing pallets to be lifted and transported freely.
  • Inside pickup or delivery: Shipments requiring the contractor to physically load or unload freight not adjacent to the dock. Additional charges apply.
  • Straps, pads and bars:

    • White Glove Services vehicles include the following:

      • Cargo van (temperature control) - 0 straps, 0 pads, 2 bars
      • 12' & 20' Straight truck - 6 straps, 12 pads, 6 bars
      • 53' Tractor trailer - 12 straps, 36 pads, 12 bars
      • 53' Trailer trailer (temperature control) - 12 straps, 0 pads, 12 bars\
    • Surface Expedite Services vehicles include the following:

      • Cargo van - 2 straps, 0 bars
      • 12' & 20' Straight truck -  4 straps, 2 bars
      • 53' Tractor trailer - 4 straps, 4 bars
  • Temperature-Controlled: Cargo boxes maintain temperature ranges from 20 to 80°F (some as low as -10°F or higher than 70°F), to provide temperature control and protection from heat or freezing. Note: If your shipment requires a flatbed or cryogenic freezers, please call 1.800.255.2421.
  • Temperature-Controlled Validated: Full-range temperature control in thermal-mapped vehicles, with hard-copy temperature data receipts to facilitate regulatory compliance. Note: If your shipment requires a flatbed or cryogenic freezers, please call 1.800.255.2421.
  • Extra labor: Provide the number of extra labor hours in the space provided. Contractors are not considered additional-assistants, but are available to perform inside pickups and deliveries.
  • Crating/uncrating: Provide necessary crating/uncrating time in the space provided.
  • Declared value: Valuation up to $50,000 "New" and $20,000 "Used" is free of charge. Additional charges will be assessed for values of more than $50,000 "New" and $20,000 "Used". Valuation only up to $1 million.
  • Driver Secure Program: Provides secure measures above standard FedEx Custom Critical SOPs.
  • Command Center Tracking: Provides more detailed monitoring of shipments with a small select group of specialized agents. Includes proprietary security protocol followed during transit, immediate access to FedEx Security professionals, increased monitoring through high cargo theft areas and the development of customer specific SOPs if applicable. Only applicable in the White Glove Services division.
  • Recalculate: Select or deselect options and recalculate to update the rates.

FAQs

Why can't I track an order?

The system is set up with sensitivity rules based on the requirements entered for the order. If your order meets these rules, it is not trackable until after the shipment has been delivered or you have not been given access by the administrator of your account to track orders.
Why am I not seeing some shipments or shipping information on the site?

Most shipping information on the site displays up to the last 180 days except for the invoices, which can be searched using the search tool. If you are looking for information other than invoices and it is greater than 90 days, please call 1.800.762.3787.
Where can I download a Bill of Lading?

Why can't I place an order?

The account administrator has not given you access to place an order, a billing account is not set up for your business or your account is in a pending status waiting payment against previous orders.

Registration FAQs

What is the difference between the “Login” and “Register” buttons for the Customer Experience Center?

All users will need to register on first use of the new Customer Experience Center. Registration will step you through the process of linking your FedEx Freight account with the Customer Experience Center. Once you have linked your accounts, you will use the "Login" button and enter your FedEx Freight account credentials to log in on future visits.
Why do I need to register if I already had an old Custom Critical Shipping Toolkit account?

If you already had an old Shipping Toolkit account, the registration process will sync your old account with your FedEx Freight account.
Why do I need a FedEx Freight account?

We have changed our login process to use the FedEx Freight authenticaion process. Customers can now use one email and password for all there FedEx Freight accounts.
How will I know the next step when registering for an account?

The FedEx Freight log in screen has links to assist in resetting passwords or to retrieve forgotton User IDs. If additional help is needed, contact FedEx Freight Technical Support at 1.877.339.2774.

Account administrator

Account administrators have a navigation tab named "Users", where users on the account can be managed. Account administrators can accept new user requests, remove users and determine user account permissions (e.g. the ability to create an order).

By default, when an account administrator accepts a new user, all permissions are set to "on." Simply click on the box under the topic area to turn off permissions. When permissions are turned off, users will not see navigation tabs or have the ability to complete that task or option.

Account administrators are assigned by FedEx Custom Critical. If you are interested in being your account's administrator, you can contact your sales representative or call customer service at 1.800.762.3787.
