Steps you can take to stay safer online
How we're working to help keep you safe
Our secure website
To log in to fedexfreight.com, you’re required to use a browser that supports 128-bit encryption, which protects your personal and business data. This means that when you’re on our secure website, the sensitive data transferred between you and FedEx Freight is encrypted. All current-generation browsers support 128-bit encryption. To see if your browser is current, look for the closed padlock symbol and the “https” prefix in the URL address. If you don’t see them, you might need to upgrade your browser.
VeriSign Extended Validation (EV) certificates
FedEx Freight uses Extended Validation certificates from VeriSign to give you peace of mind. Browsers that support EV certificates display a lock icon in the URL field. This indicates that the site has undergone additional validation. Browsers without EV support will continue to function on fedexfreight.com, but will not display the lock icon.
Login protection
You need a user ID and password to access fedexfreight.com account services and features. These credentials are securely stored and known only to you. Handle your ID and password with care and never share them with others. Note that FedEx Freight requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) for fedexfreight.com.
Automatic time-outs
For your safety, we automatically log you out after 60 minutes of inactivity. You need to log in again to re-access your account on fedexfreight.com.
Account number protection
FedEx Freight may email you, as the account owner, whenever someone else is granted access to use your account number for shipping on fedexfreight.com. The email will include that person’s name, a partial account number, and other relevant details. See the report fraud section below for what to do if this person’s access is unauthorized.
How you can help with security
Report fraud
We may email you if someone else is granted access to ship using your account. If you believe that person should not have access to your account number, call FedEx Freight Technical Support at 1.877.339.2774 and request that we block their access.
Report changes in account ownership
If you are no longer the owner of the specified account number, please call FedEx Freight Technical Support at 1.877.339.2774 for help.
Allow legitimate access
If you get an email from FedEx Freight and agree that the person named in the email should have the ability to use your account number, you don’t have to do anything. You can keep the email for reference or discard it. FedEx Freight is not responsible for any charges or costs incurred as a result of fraudulent activity that abuses the FedEx Freight name, service marks, or logos.
